The Malbec Mixed Case - The Argentine wine industry is now the fifth largest in the world due in recent years to a massive expansion in vineyard area and large scale investment in modern winemaking techniques. This country is truly a wine maker's paradise.

The star red grape is the truly sumptuous Malbec with its full-bodied, juicy, black-fruit flavours. Here in one case are six of our favourites.

This six bottle case contains one bottle of each of the following six wines:

Pablo y Walter Malbec - Selected by longstanding winemaker Roberto Gonzalez from Nieto's vineyards aged between 40 -45 years where it vines are trained on overhead pergolas. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Brooding and intense. A classic Malbec from Nieto's premium Agrelo vineyards, with flavours reminiscent of those desert soils. Dark, dense complex nose with sweet cranberries, blackberries and rich mocha characters. The palate is smooth and rounded with supple tannins and a long intense pure finish with hints of bitter chocolate and spice.

Nieto Malbec - This superb Malbec is deep purple in colour and offers powerful aromas of black stone fruit and floral notes. Juicy flavours of plum and blackberry, with a touch of chocolate and vanilla from oak ageing, lead into a long lingering finish with ripe velvety tannins.

Molinio Malbec - A celebration of Mendoza - the colour, culture and flavour and a celebration of friendship. A really pure expression of Malbec, bright red & juicy, rich chocolate flavours with a lick of oak to round out the edges.

Andes Soul Malbec - This superb Malbec is deep purple in colour and offers powerful aromas of black stone fruit and floral notes. Juicy flavours of plum and blackberry, with a touch of chocolate and vanilla from oak ageing, lead into a long lingering finish with ripe velvety tannins.

Benjamin Malbec - Purple red in colour, bright and intense. Fresh fruity aromas of plum and cherry. Balanced in the mouth, with a pleasant finish.

Bodega Urqo Los Durmientes Malbec Valle de Uco - Classic Uco Valley Malbec and extortionary value. Its source vineyards very much shape the wine, in its graphite nose, gentle floral notes, over a serious palate rich in minerals, iron and structure. A seriously foodie Malbec from serious vineyard.
