The Italian Primitivo Mixed Case
The Italian Primitivo Mixed Case - Primitivo, a grape now more commonly known elsewhere as Zinfandel, is a rich and velvety wine from Italy's southern most wine region, Puglia, the heel of Italy's boot.
These wines are dark and seductive, full of spicy sun drenched fruit flavours. These wines clearly say 'Made in Italy' on the label! Simply put, a terrific selection of flavoursome wines.
This six bottle case contains one bottle of each of the following six wines:
- Codici Masserie Primitivo - This well balanced and finely structured wine has an intense ruby red colour. On the palate it is silky and warm with hints of tobacco and dried fruits.
- Zensa Primitivo - This well balanced and finely structured wine has an intense ruby red colour. On the palate it is silky and warm with hints of tobacco and dried fruits.
- Masseria Borgo Dei Trulli Primitivo - Ruby red colour enriched with violet reflections. generous bouquet, which recalls ripe cherries and plums, with pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. This wine has a velvety texture, softened by the warmth of the Primitivo grapes. the finish offers notes of persistent sweetness.
- Versante Primitivo - Versante Primitivo is from Vallone's Brindisi estate, an attractively fresh, unoaked and juicy style of Primitivo with distinctive notes of dried fruit. Ripe plum and cherry aromas with hints of brown spice. The palate has lightly jammy, sweet blackberry and plum fruit balanced by fresh acidity.
- Il Pumo Primitivo IGP Salento San Marzano - Intense notes of prunes and cherry combined with rosemary and vanilla. A full flavoured wine, soft and balanced, and eminently drinkable.
- Felline I Monili Primitivo, IGP Tarantin - Aromas of red berry and cherry, with a touch of eucalyptus and liquorice. The palate has bright bramble fruit, soft tannins, minerality and some spice on the finish.
