Melon Blanc Vendange Nocturne Vin de France
JOANNA SIMON - WINE OF THE WEEK
.."this perky, dry white from the Loire is a modest 11% alcohol and doesn't lack anything in the flavour department. It’s light bodied with an inviting floral nose and a palate of green pear, talcum powder, citrus acidity and sea spray. You could drink this with a plateau de fruits de mers, moules marinières or simple white fish, but its real mission in life is to perk you up at aperitif time. 11%". JOANNA SIMON
Melon Blanc Vendange Nocturne Vin de France - With this new cuvée Pierre-Henri Gadais is aiming to show a very fresh and vibrant expression of Muscadet, harvesting fully organic Melon de Bourgogne grapes in the cool of the night (for freshness) and bottling without lees ageing.
Modern in style this ripe vintage has allowed the fruit character to really shine whilst remaining deliciously fresh and bright with a more typical touch of salinity and spritz on the finish. Hailing from the western Loire, this medium bodied fresh white wine pairs well with shellfish and seafood.
