Mastri Vernacoli Trentino Sauvignon Blanc - Green pepper and nettle with delicate aromas of sage and elderflower lead on to a delicate palate with citrus characters and refreshing acidity.
Trentino is increasingly regarded as an excellent source of aromatic Sauvignon Blanc. This is a refreshing and incisive example sourced from producer, Cavit's wealth of cool hillside vineyards.
Grapes are sourced from vineyard slopes in the Valle dell'Adige and Valle dei Laghi. The de-stalked grapes are left to macerate cold for about 12 hours in contact with the skins, and are then soft pressed. Temperature-controlled fermentation is followed by a short maturation period in stainless steel.
Produced by Cavit from selected Trentino hilllside vineyards. Cavit is one of the larger co-operatives in northern Italy, located just under the imposing pre-Alps.
