This latest 2021 vintage has just been awarded 96 points Tim Atkin MW in his Chile Special Report 2024.
Here's what he said:
"Currently celebrating its twentieth vintage, Coyam is one of Chile’s finest – and best value-reds. Dominated by Syrah and Carmenère, with the remaining 27% made up of Carignan, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Tempranillo, it’s a seamless, beautifully judged amalgam that moves from subtle vanilla and wild herb aromas to a palate of plum, raspberry, black cherry and redcurrant. Great now, but will age beautifully."
Coyam Emiliana - This ‘World Renowned wine is a fascinating blend of Syrah and Carmenère, with the remaining 27% made up of Carignan, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Tempranillo! Aged in oak for 14 months this wine is intensely violet in colour, with lots of ripe black fruit flavours delicately blended with oak. Rich and velvety.
Emiliana is one of the worlds most important producers of Organic and Biodynamic wines. Their spectacular biodynamic vineyard and winery at Los Robles is a model that attracts visiting viticulturalists and winemakers from all over the world.
