False Bay Whole Bunch Cinsault Mourvedre Rose - With a pretty salmon pink hue that is so often associated with benchmark Rosés, it is spicy and textural, with lovely berry fruits dancing on the palate, finishing savoury, dry and clean. This is a fine wine that happens to be pink.
Old bush vine Cinsault forms the backbone of this ‘proper’ Rosé, along with a small proportion of Mourvedre which adds a savoury depth. It comes from low-yielding, coastal vineyards, and is delicately whole-bunch basket pressed for only the purest juice. It is then wild yeast fermented for three months before bottling.
Almost no food fails to work with this wine, it is perfect with Mediterranean dishes especially juicy pan-fried garlic prawns or is great to drink chilled on its own.
