Barao da Varzea do Douro Colheita Douro Tinto - Barao da Varzea do Douro Colheita Douro Tinto is an approachable, warm and juicy red from Portugal's Douro region.

Bright aromas of wild blackberry and spice. The palate has ripe bramble fruit, supple tannins and juicy acidity. The local grapes - Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Tinta Roriz - grow in fine soils with some schist. The climate is warm and dry. After harvesting they are fermented in stainless steel and spend some time in tank before bottling.

Perfect with hearty bean and lentil casseroles, with or without sausages.
