Bell’Aja Bolgheri Superiore San Felice

Bell’Aja Bolgheri Superiore San Felice - Vibrant aromas of redcurrant and cherry, with notes of liquorice and cocoa. The palate is rich with ripe plum and bramble fruit, and toasty oak charcaters balanced by juicy acidity and supple tannins.

Predominantly Merlot (95%) with some Cabernet Sauvignon - the grapes are sourced from the oldest parcel of Merlot in Le Sondraie vineyard in Bolgheri. Vines are cultivated in sandy / silt soils typical of the region. Merlot is havested in the middle of the September, and Cabernet Sauvignon towards the end of that month. After fermentation and maceration for 25 days the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak.
