Pasquiers Shiraz

Pasquiers Shiraz - A good, deep purple colour with bountiful spicy fruit aromas. This succulent and spicy wine is a mix of 90% Syrah with just 10% Viognier. The Shiraz brings mouthfuls of lush fruit and spice whilst a tiny proportion of Viognier adds a subtle nuance giving a lift to the aromas and a deftness to the palate.

Based in the south-west of the Languedoc in the Aude region the 40 year old vines thrive on silty /sandy soil. The Syrah grapes are de-stemmed and macerated in tank. After a short maceration period the Viognier grapes are then added to the cap during alcoholic fermentation.

Perfect to drink on its own but ideally matched with herby sausages, salami or pork based dishes.
