Bourgogne Pinot Noir Domaine Alain Michelot - Alain Michelot has produced a Bourgogne Rouge of unusual depth and intensity, with perfumed blackberry/black cherry fruit, medium full body, and a long floral finish.

Alain Michelot is a Nuits Saint Georges specialist: of the domaines eight hectares, 7.5 are in Nuits. The fourth generation at the domaine, Alain, though still in charge, has handed the winemaking reins to his daughter Elodie, and the wines have gained in finesse and purity as a result. With only the oldest vines being used for the Nuits Saint Georges itself, the younger vines in Nuits produce fruit for this Bourgogne Rouge. The grapes were entirely destemmed, then fermented at no more than 30ºC before transfer to barrel.
