Les Caleches de Lanessan, Haut-Medoc - A savoury and complex nose leads to a vibrant and herbaceous palate. Quite delicate tannins make for a very appealing, approachable wine.

The second wine of Château Lanessan offers, as good second wines should, a peek at the potential of the Grand Vin but is more approachable and for earlier drinking.

Grapes from younger vines still grown on the deep Garonne gravel beds are picked at optimum ripeness (important as Paz’s obsession with properly ripe grapes is one of the changes which are gradually transforming the style here for the better) and fermented in concrete – good typicity with lovely fruit character and silky tannins on the finish
